With everything going on, neither of us probably won't get to the house until Monday. Sam started on the moldings, regardless of the paint. I guess that's better than not working at all. We have to touch up the paint anyway. May as well do it all at once. I wish he'd start on the bathroom though.
I was looking at the moldings last night (we had to go buy polyurethane because Sam said there was no more, even though I magically found three cans sitting around in a Home Depot bag) and they are rather dark. Why so dark? Because Sam took the liberty of putting a double coat of stain on them. He didn't ask. He didn't need to. He just did it. He wasted time and material, and ended up doing it wrong. We think we can fix it, eventually. We plan on putting down Pergo floors in the future. When we do that we have to take off the moldings anyway. We'll strip them and re-stain them then if possible. *sigh*
So much stupid stuff keeps adding up. Just tired of it. Want the bumbling idiot out of the house. If I knew he was going to be such a dumb ass I would have stained the moldings myself. Would have done a lot myself. I don't get it. He's supposed to be the one who does this stuff. He has experience. Yet we makes stupid mistake after stupid mistake. I've never stained anything before in my life. But my stuff turned out fine. Its not brain surgery. But I guess the difference is I care and he doesn't. And it really makes me sick that someone like that is working on the house. How many mistakes has he made that we don't even know about?
To think, once upon a time we were going to trust him to pull the support beams out of the ceiling. The house probably would have come tumbling down.
